Rt. Hon. Eleanor Ashworth

The Right Honourable Eleanor Ashworth has served as Speaker of Parliament since 2024, presiding over debates and ensuring parliamentary procedure is followed.

Parliamentary Career

First elected to Parliament in 2006 representing Northgate, Speaker Ashworth served as Minister for Education (2014-2018) and Leader of the House (2018-2024) before being unanimously elected Speaker.
